September 8, 2025: Las Vegas, NV 89142 Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights (Las Vegas, NV) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Sunrise Mountain Miners (Las Vegas, NV), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Mater Academy East Las Vegas improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Knights host Somerset Academy Losee (North Las Vegas, NV) to face the Lions in a test on Wednesday, September 10. The Lions go into the test with a record of 0-1. Somerset Academy Losee lost 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Legacy (North Las Vegas, NV)
Next, the Miners meet the Legacy Longhorns (North Las Vegas, NV) in a challenge, on Monday, September 15. Sunrise Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 2-0 league win over Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV).
