The Kearney Catholic Stars softball squad (Kearney, NE), was routed 17-2 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE)

With the triumph, Northwest improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE) to battle the Crusaders in a B District 8 match on Thursday, September 11. The Crusaders go into the match with a record of 6-5. Grand Island Central Catholic won 12-2 in their recent non-league match against Adams Central (Hastings, NE)

In their next game, the Stars battle the McCook Bison (McCook, NE) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 9. Kearney Catholic will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Bison come into the match with a 3-8 record after their 12-1 non-league loss to North Platte (North Platte, NE).
