Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Mundy's Mill Tigers (Jonesboro, GA), 17-2 in a non-league match.

The Panthers (5-6) will now prepare for their match against Lovejoy (Lovejoy, GA). The Wildcats come into the 5A Region 3 match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Lovejoy was routed by Northgate (Newnan, GA), 16-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 9. Mundy's Mill will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 9-6 record after their 6-2 league loss to Northside (Columbus, GA).
