In Thursday's non-league contest, the Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) volleyball squad were winner over the host South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Cadets battle the Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 11. Fort Frye will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Tomcats go into the contest with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Southern (Racine, OH).

With the loss, South Charleston moves to 0-9 on the year. The Black eagles travel to George Washington (Charleston, WV) to battle the Patriots in a Mountain State contest on Thursday, September 9. The Patriots go into the contest with a record of 3-1. George Washington won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Winfield (Winfield, WV)
