Pennsylvania High School Football - Union Area defeats Cornell

September 9, 2022: Coraopolis, PA 15108

In Friday's league match, the visiting Union Area Scotties football squad scored a good 30-21 victory over the Cornell Raiders.

In their next game, the Scotties clash with the Shenango Wildcats (New Castle, PA) in a WPIAL A Big 7 match, on Saturday, September 17. Union Area will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 0-3 record after their 27-6 non-league loss to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA).

The Raiders (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Avella (Avella, PA). The Eagles enter the WPIAL A Black Hills match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Avella dropped by Mapletown (Greensboro, PA), 49-0, in a non-league match.
