With the triumph, Kingwood Park improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Sterling (Baytown, TX) to battle the Rangers in a 5A-1 Region II District 8 test on Friday, September 16. The Rangers come into the test with a record of 1-2. Sterling lost 59-7 in their recent league test against Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX)
With the loss, Porter drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX) to battle the Titans in a 5A-1 Region II District 8 test on Friday, September 16. The Titans come into the test with a record of 2-0. Port Arthur Memorial won 42-21 in their recent non-league test against Nederland (Nederland, TX)
