The crowd at Friday's league contest between the New Britain Golden Hurricanes (New Britain, CT) and the host Middletown Blue Dragons (Middletown, CT), observed New Britain's football squad defeat Middletown by a count of 38-25.

The Golden Hurricanes now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Windsor for a non-league contest on Friday, September 16. New Britain will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 21-20 league loss to Wethersfield (Wethersfield, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Blue Dragons encounter the Enfield Eagles (Enfield, CT) in a Central Connecticut - Tier 2 contest, on Friday, September 16.
