September 9, 2022: Howes, SD 57748 The Takini Skyhawks football team (Howes, SD), was tipped 1-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD)
The Thorpes (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Standing Rock (Fort Yates, ND). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Standing Rock nipped Crow Creek (Stephan, SD), 60-12, in a league challenge.
The Skyhawks now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Red Cloud for a All-Nations - West (9 Man) challenge on Friday, September 16. Takini will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 50-0 league win over Crazy Horse (Wanblee, SD). The Crusaders record now stands at 2-1.
