Match Summary
Junior vice-captain John David O'Hara got the Mariners going with a sterling free kick from the top of the 18. Seven minutes later O'Hara was at it again, after some good work on the right side by sophomore Dudley Samponaro, John David received a cross and finished from inside the box. Storm King was able to halve the lead a few minutes later from a penalty. In the second half a disastrous sequence of bungled touches in their own box resulted in an own goal and a tie game. Rocky Hill demonstrated their resiliency however, immediately responding when O'Hara and freshman Lucas Torrado combined to switch the field where freshman Naseem Ankoma arrived to lash the ball into the upper corner for the lead. John David completing his hat trick when he received a pass from sophomore vice-captain Carter Holubesko outside the 18 and found the top corner. The Mariners would add one more when freshman Travis Knight crossed from the right side and sophomore Jack Casey finished with a volley.
