September 9, 2023: Covington, GA 30014 Newton Rams (Covington, GA) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team nip the visiting McEachern Indians (Powder Springs, GA), 13-7 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Newton improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Rams host Westlake (Atlanta, GA) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Friday, September 15. The Lions come into the test with a record of 4-0. Westlake won 57-7 in their recent non-league test against Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA)
With the loss, McEachern drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Tucker (Tucker, GA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, September 15. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 2-1. Tucker lost 29-15 in their recent non-league test against Dacula (Dacula, GA)
