Maine High School Soccer - York knocks off Lincoln Academy
September 9, 2023: Newcastle, ME 04553 York Wildcats (York, ME) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME), 4-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats confront the Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME) in a Class B - South challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. York will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Clippers enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, ME).
The Eagles now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leavitt for a Class B - South challenge on Tuesday, September 12. Lincoln Academy will confront a Hornets team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 1-2.
