September 9, 2023: Hillsboro, OR 97123 Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Hillsboro Spartans (Hillsboro, OR), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Phoenix will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Roseburg (Roseburg, OR).
The Spartans now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host David Douglas for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 11. Hillsboro will confront a Scots team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over South Albany (Albany, OR). The Scots record now stands at 2-0.
