Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders (Grand Island, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host McCook Bison (McCook, NE), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crete for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 12.

With the loss, McCook falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Bison travel to St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE) to battle the Bluehawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. The Bluehawks enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. St. Cecilia won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against North Platte (North Platte, NE)
