In Saturday's league battle, the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the St. John Eagles.

The Hornets (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Livonia (Livonia, LA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Livonia was edged by Central Private (Baker, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
