The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) and the visiting Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), saw Nevada Union's volleyball squad nip Ponderosa by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 6-16 on the year. The Miners travel to Del Oro (Loomis, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Del Oro won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA)
