September 9, 2023: Russellville, AL 35654 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL) and the host Tharptown Wildcats (Russellville, AL), saw Waterloo's volleyball squad beat Tharptown by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Waterloo upgrades its record to 5-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Collinwood (Collinwood, TN) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, September 11. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Collinwood lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA)
The Wildcats now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Mars Hill Bible for a 2A Area 15 bout on Monday, September 11. Tharptown will play a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Brooks (Killen, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-3.
