North Carolina High School Soccer - Thomas Jefferson knocks off Mountain Island Charter
September 9, 2024: Mt. Holly, NC 28120 In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Thomas Jefferson Gryphons soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 victory over the Mountain Island Charter Raptors.
The Gryphons (6-0) will now prepare for their outing against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets go into the non-league outing with a 8-0 record. In their last outing, A.C. Reynolds got by Franklin (Franklin, NC), 5-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Raptors play the Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC) in a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A outing, on Wednesday, September 11. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans go into the outing with a 1-3 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC).
