September 9, 2025: Hickory, NC 28601 The Hickory Red Tornadoes smashed the visiting Bandys Trojans soccer team by a tally of 5-0 in Tuesday's league game.
Next, the Red Tornadoes face the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Hickory will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 1-1 league West Iredell (Statesville, NC).
With the loss, Bandys moves to 5-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 11. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a record of 0-4. East Burke lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
