September 9, 2025: Evanston, IL 60201 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) and the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), saw Evanston's soccer squad knock off Vernon Hills by a count of 2-0.
The Wildkits (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against New Trier (Winnetka, IL). The Trevians enter the Central Suburban - South battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, New Trier tipped Niles North (Skokie, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL) in a Central Suburban - North battle, on Thursday, September 11. Vernon Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 2-1 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Deerfield (Deerfield, IL).
