West Virginia High School Soccer - Hurricane knocks off Riverside
September 9, 2025: Belle, WV 25015 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) and the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), saw Hurricane's soccer squad triumph over Riverside by a count of 9-1.
The Redskins (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Greenbrier East Capital (Charleston, WV), 1-1, in a non-league match.
The Warriors now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a non-league match on Thursday, September 11. Riverside will meet a Panthers team coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.
