Illinois High School Soccer - Lincoln Park toppled by Leyden
September 9, 2025: Franklin Park, IL 60131 Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL) fans went home happy Tuesday as they saw their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Lincoln Park Lions (Chicago, IL), 7-1 in a non-league outing.
The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against York (Elmhurst, IL). The Dukes enter the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, York was overwhelmed by Lyons (LaGrange, IL), 4-1, in a league test.
The Lions now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Schurz for a Chicago Public First North test on Wednesday, September 10. Lincoln Park will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Chicago Academy (Chicago, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.
