North Carolina High School Soccer - St. Stephens toppled by Patton
September 9, 2025: Hickory, NC 28601 Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Patton improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Wednesday, September 10. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 0-4. East Burke lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
With the loss, St. Stephens moves to 0-7 on the year. The Indians host Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC) to play the Greenwave in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 11. The Greenwave go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Ashbrook lost 7-0 in their recent non-league bout against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
