September 9, 2025: Center Point, IA 52213 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers (Center Point, IA) and the visiting Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA), saw Center Point-Urbana's volleyball squad notch a victory over Independence by a score of 3-1.
With the win, Center Point-Urbana improves its record to 7-5 on the season. The Stormin' Pointers travel to Linn-Mar (Marion, IA) to encounter the Lions in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 5-9. Linn-Mar lost 3-2 in their recent non-league battle against Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA)
The Mustangs now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Decorah-North Winneshiek for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 11. Independence will meet a Vikings team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Waukon (Waukon, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-4.
