The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes were victorious over the host Johnson Knights volleyball team by a margin of 2-0 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Purple Hurricanes now possess a 7-16 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson for a 3A Area 8 outing on Tuesday, September 9. Monroe Area will play a Dragons team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Westside (Anderson, SC). The Dragons record now stands at 14-7.
