Mississippi High School Volleyball - Lafayette over New Hope

In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Lafayette Commodores volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the New Hope Trojans.

The Commodores (6-14) will now prepare for their test against Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Falcons go into the Class 5A Region 1 test with a 2-11 record. In their last challenge, Columbus lost by Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans play the Caledonia Cavaliers (Caledonia, MS) in a Class 5A Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, September 11. New Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to New Albany (New Albany, MS).
