With the win, Plainview improves its record to 9-14 on the season. The Bulldogs host Coronado (Lubbock, TX) to encounter the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, September 12. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 15-14. Coronado won 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX)
The Dons now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lubbock for a 5A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, September 16. Palo Duro will encounter a Westerners squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners record now stands at 3-22.
