The Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX) football nudged the visiting Center Roughriders (Center, TX), 15-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bears face the Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 17. Gladewater will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 42-27 non-league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX).

The Roughriders (0-3) will now prepare for their bout against Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, Chapel Hill held off Hallsville (Hallsville, TX), 35-16, in a non-league bout.
