Georgia High School Softball - Appling County holds off Lanier County
September 10, 2021: Lakeland, GA 31635 Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Telfair County for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 10. Appling County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, Lanier County falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Toombs County (Lyons, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 10. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Toombs County lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Bacon County (Alma, GA)
