Georgia High School Softball - Mount Vernon bounces Thomas County Central
September 10, 2022: Thomasville, GA 31792 Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (Thomasville, GA), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westminster for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 10. Mount Vernon will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over North Springs (Atlanta, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Thomas County Central falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Houston County (Warner Robins, GA) to battle the Bears in a 6A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, September 13. The Bears go into the match with a record of 12-4. Houston County won 18-0 in their recent league match against Northside (Warner Robins, GA)
