Oregon High School Volleyball - South Umpqua tips Phoenix
September 10, 2024: Phoenix, OR 97535 The South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) volleyball held off the host Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR), 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Lancers now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rogue River for a 3A Southern Oregon bout on Monday, September 16. South Umpqua will clash with a Chieftains team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Rogue Valley Adventist (Medford, OR). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Phoenix drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Yreka (Yreka, CA) to clash with the Miners in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 12. The Miners come into the bout with a record of 12-6. Yreka won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR)
