September 10, 2025: Braidwood, IL 60408 The Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL), 9-3 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Comets now hold a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Coal City for a Illinois Central Eight contest on Tuesday, September 16. Reed-Custer will battle a Coalers team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Serena (Serena, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 9-0.
The Fightin' Irish (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Oakwood/Catlin (Fithian, IL). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Oakwood/Catlin was overwhelmed by Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
