Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC), 5-2 in a non-league test.

The Blue Comets now sport a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Cape Fear for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 19.

With the loss, Western Guilford drops to 1-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to meet the Nighthawks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 14. The Nighthawks come into the test with a record of 1-4. Northern Guilford lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC)
