Illinois High School Soccer - Centralia knocks off Wesclin
September 11, 2023: Trenton, IL 62293 Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Orphans confront the Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL) in a South Seven challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Centralia will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Terriers enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Poplar Bluff (Poplar Bluff, MO).
The Warriors now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salem for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 14. Wesclin will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.
