North Carolina High School Football - Burns sneaks past Alexander Central
September 11, 2024: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The Burns Bulldogs football squad scored 22 points and limited the host Alexander Central Cougars to 21 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Asheville for a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. Burns will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 36-8 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.
With the defeat, Alexander Central drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-0.
