In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host A.C. Reynolds Rockets soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons.

The Rockets (9-0) will now prepare for their outing against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks go into the The Mountain 3A/4A outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, North Buncombe was edged by Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Gryphons confront the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 16. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record.
