McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Del Oro Suns (Bakersfield, CA), 25-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, McFarland improves its record to 4-0 on the season. The Cougars host Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Friday, September 19. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 0-4. Golden Valley lost 38-19 in their recent non-league match against Ridgeview (Bakersfield, CA)

Coming up next, the Suns meet the Firebaugh Eagles (Firebaugh, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Del Oro will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 46-6 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Fresno, CA).
