In Thursday's league bout, the KIPP Collegiate phoenix (Memphis, TN) football team crushed the host Manassas Tigers (Memphis, TN), by a final score of 44-6.

With the win, KIPP Collegiate advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The phoenix host Middle College (Memphis, TN) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 8 contest on Thursday, September 18. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 2-1. Middle College won 18-7 in their recent non-league contest against Evangelical Christian (Cordova, TN)
