Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) and the visiting Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA), observed University Prep's volleyball team hold off Foothill by a tally of 2-1.

The Panthers (12-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lassen (Susanville, CA). The Grizzlies enter the contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Lassen was edged by Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enterprise for a test on Tuesday, September 16. Foothill will face a Hornets team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Orland (Orland, CA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-2.
