September 11, 2025: Smyrna, DE 19977 Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Smyrna moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 25. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 1-0.
Next up, the Panthers confront the Milford Buccaneers (Milford, DE) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 16. Polytech will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Buccaneers go into the outing with a 0-2 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE).
