North Carolina High School Football - Walkertown can't hold off East Surry
September 11, 2025: Pilot Mountain, NC 27041 East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC), 28-22 in a non-league battle.
With the win, East Surry improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cardinals travel to North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC) to meet the Vikings in a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 0-2. North Forsyth lost 30-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC)
The Wolfpack (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Reidsville (Reidsville, NC). The Rams go into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Reidsville nipped Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC), 44-41, in a non-league challenge.
