The Black River Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Brookside Cardinals to 0 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now possess a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New London for a non-league game on Monday, September 15.

With the loss, Brookside drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Cloverleaf (Lodi, OH) to play the Colts in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 13.
