Ohio High School Soccer - Van Buren knocks off Cory-Rawson
September 11, 2025: Van Buren, OH 45889 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) and the visiting Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH), saw Van Buren's soccer squad triumph over Cory-Rawson by a count of 7-0.
The Black Knights (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH). The Falcons enter the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Riverdale was overwhelmed by Toledo Christian (Toledo, OH), 6-3, in a non-league battle.
In their next game, the Fighting Hornets meet the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds (Lima, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 13. Cory-Rawson will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 6-2 league loss to New Knoxville (New Knoxville, OH).
