In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Yorktown Tigers soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Jay County Patriots.

The Tigers (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN). The Golden Bears come into the Hoosier Heritage test with a 3-5 record.

The Patriots now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Richmond for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Jay County will clash with a Red Devils team coming off a 2-1 league win over Marion (Marion, IN). The Red Devils record now stands at 8-2.
