Lincoln County Red Devils (Lincolnton, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), 9-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Lincoln County upgrades its record to 6-8 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Monday, September 15. The Buccaneers enter the game with a record of 6-5. Briarwood Academy won 13-5 in their recent non-league match against Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA)

In their next game, the Indians confront the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 15. Towns County will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 3-11 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Madison County (Danielsville, GA).
