Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), observed Liberty Christian's volleyball team top Amherst County by a count of 3-0.

The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Seminole battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Jefferson Forest achieved victory over Liberty (Bedford, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Lancers now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charlottesville for a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. Amherst County will encounter a Black Knights squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-6.
