In Thursday's league match, the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Chargers confront the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 5A/6A bout, on Tuesday, September 16. Crest will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Greenwave come into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).
