The Phoenix now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burton for a Academic Athletic Association test on Wednesday, September 13. KIPP SF College Prep will confront a Pumas team coming off a 3-0 league win over Varsity Opponent (, ). The Pumas record now stands at 2-0.
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Pescadero (Pescadero, CA). The Vikings enter the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Pescadero gained a win over Kehillah (Palo Alto, CA), 3-2, in a league test.
