South Carolina High School Football - Georgetown nudges Carvers Bay
September 12, 2024: Hemingway, SC 29554 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, SC) and the host Carvers Bay Bears (Hemingway, SC), witnessed Georgetown's football squad edge Carvers Bay by a tally of 34-29.
The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against May River (Bluffton, SC). The Sharks enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, May River got by Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC), 35-13, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Bears confront the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders (Pamplico, SC) in a A Region 6 contest, on Friday, September 20. Carvers Bay will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 39-25 non-league loss to Lee Central (Bishopville, SC).
