Kansas High School Football - Lawrence tops Junction City

September 12, 2024: Junction City, KS 66441

The Lawrence Lions football squad scored 69 points and limited the host Junction City Bluejays to 56 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olathe North for a Sunflower test on Friday, September 20. Lawrence will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 42-25 non-league loss to Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Junction City drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bluejays travel to Northwest (Wichita, KS) to meet the Grizzlies in a non-league test on Friday, September 20. The Grizzlies come into the test with a record of 2-0. Northwest won 14-0 in their recent league test against East (Wichita, KS)
