Michigan High School Football - Oak Park thwarted by Athens
September 12, 2024: Oak Park, MI 48237 Athens Red Hawks (Troy, MI) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Oak Park Knights (Oak Park, MI), 33-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Athens advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI) to play the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. The Bobcats go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Grand Blanc 22-22 in their recent non-league battle against Heritage (Saginaw, MI)
The Knights now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Seaholm for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 21. Oak Park will play a Maples team coming off a 21-7 non-league win over Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Maples record now stands at 3-0.
